About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at DLR Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems for buildings across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design process on high-priority projects.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver integrated building designs.
  • Develop and coordinate detailed mechanical engineering drawings and calculations.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff across all disciplines.
  • Represent DLR Group at meetings with owners, clients, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, including design of HVAC systems, central utility plants, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
  • Working knowledge of the design and construction process and ability to communicate with professionals from other disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local building, mechanical, and energy codes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LEED accreditation.
  • Building energy modeling experience.
  • Interest in DLR Group's involvement in MEP 2040 and low-carbon designs.
