Spa Housekeeping Role

OVERVIEW

The Spa Housekeeping Role is essential in collaborating with Spa Attendants and the Spa Front Desk team to ensure the spa's cleanliness and overall ambiance. This position is vital to the success of the Spa operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the spa's retail area, lobby, salon, locker rooms, guest relaxation spaces, indoor pool, fitness area, and fitness locker room.
  • Performing tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, washing walls and windows, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning and sanitizing sinks and toilets, washing dishes and spa slippers, and other assigned duties.
  • Assisting with in-house laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and transporting dirty and clean linen carts.
  • Distributing linens and supplies to designated areas within the spa according to established inventory levels.
  • Reporting any shortages or discrepancies in linens to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all storage and distribution areas.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel environment preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be capable of standing and maintaining mobility for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. regularly. Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 75 lbs. consistently is required. This role involves grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual acuity. Communication with guests, supervisors, and colleagues requires continuous talking and hearing. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating all required equipment.
