Position: Administrative Executive Assistant

Salary Range: $43,617.00

POSITION SUMMARY


The Administrative Executive Assistant provides high-level professional support to the County Judge. This role involves managing and coordinating essential administrative functions within the office, with a degree of autonomy and decision-making authority. The position requires effective oversight of various administrative tasks and may include supervising other staff members.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


- Develop and implement administrative protocols and standards.


- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including manuals and publications.


- Evaluate and enhance administrative practices to improve public service delivery.


- Collaborate with other governmental entities and private organizations.


- Provide strategic advice to the County Judge on administrative issues.


- Offer technical administrative support to the County Judge.


- Assist in the organization and preparation of various records and presentations.


- Support general human resource management activities as needed.


- Contribute to budget planning and preparation.


- Oversee and assign tasks to other administrative staff.


- Perform additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, political science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.


- Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES


- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.


- Must be eligible for coverage under the County's insurance policy.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES


- Comprehensive knowledge of business practices and procedures relevant to administrative services.


- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.


- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex administrative issues.


- Capability to analyze and resolve work-related challenges.


WORKING CONDITIONS


- The role may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing and the ability to lift items weighing over twenty-five pounds.


- The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
