Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist with Allina Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of radiologic technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical and diagnostic imaging functions under the direction of a provider or radiologist.
  • Provide timely and quality services to patients, interacting with them to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure.
  • Work in an outpatient clinic setting, completing procedures in compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and department guidelines.
  • Room patients and manage patient flow, identifying patients with two identifiers and documenting all necessary aspects of the procedure.
  • Maintain a safe patient environment in the procedure area, observing and communicating with patients, and responding to their needs.
  • Perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans and other procedures with a high degree of accuracy, demonstrating knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
  • Verify that all imaging has been appropriately transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system, providing accurate clerical functions and using Excellian (electronic medical record).
  • Understand the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System and ensure that all documentation is complete post-procedure.
  • Stock necessary medical and radiological supplies, communicate with supervisors and teams, and report problems, issues, or ideas.
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Experience: 0-2 years in Radiology preferred.
  • Certifications: Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire, Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
