Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing technical and diagnostic imaging functions under the direction of a provider or radiologist. Your primary goal will be to provide timely and quality services to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and department guidelines.
  • Rooms patients and manages patient flow to ensure efficient use of time.
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Documents all necessary aspects of the procedure, including patient information and imaging results.
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Maintains a safe patient environment in the procedure area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • May perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans as needed.
  • Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring accurate imaging results.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all diagnostic equipment, including operation and maintenance.
  • Gathers relevant information to assist in the interpretation of images.
  • Verifies that all imaging has been properly transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Provides accurate clerical functions, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Uses electronic medical records (EMRs) to document patient information and imaging results.
  • Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and ensures all documentation is complete post-procedure.
  • Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Reports problems, issues, or ideas to supervisors and team members.
  • Provides assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others.

Requirements:

  • Vocational or technical training graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • 0-2 years of experience in radiology preferred.
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
