Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team as an Executive Culinary Manager. This key role will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, culinary excellence, and operational efficiency in our upscale fine dining kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Satisfaction: Demonstrate a commitment to a "Do Whatever It Takes Attitude" and lead by example with a hands-on management style to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Culinary Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in managing the back of house staff, providing ongoing training, development, and follow-up to maintain a high-performing team.
- Cost Management: Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through effective planning and execution.
- Inventory and Supply Chain: Assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA regulations and ensure the organization of the work area is clean and safe.
- Culinary Experience: At least 2 years of Culinary Management experience in an upscale fine dining establishment.
- Culinary Knowledge: Strong knowledge and attention to detail on back of the house operations, including staff supervision, inventory controls, food/labor cost, and product quality.
- Leadership Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills to effectively manage a team.
- Work History: Stable and progressive work history, with a strong work ethic.
- Culinary Education: Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus.
- Competitive Salary: USD $60,000 - USD $70,000 per year.
