Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Diagnostic Imaging Northwest. As a Breast Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mammographic procedures, under supervision, in accordance with ARRT/ACR standards and ethics. This includes preparing patients for exams, obtaining thorough patient histories, and accurately implementing orders from referring physicians.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and collaborate with other medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in accordance with the mission statement of Diagnostic Imaging Northwest.
  • Rotate shifts as needed.
  • Prepare patients for mammography exams with thorough explanations and clear instructions.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories as it relates to the exam to be completed.
  • Under supervision, accurately implement orders from referring physicians, producing mammograms with minimum patient exposure and repeatability.
  • Maintain high standards regarding accurate recording of patient information.
  • Keep documentation of procedures as needed to complete certification and registration requirements.
  • Present high-quality radiographs and pertinent patient history to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Utilize accurate written and oral communication with patients, physicians, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Perform necessary computer functions associated with patient exams.
  • Keep work areas and patient exam areas neat and stocked with appropriate supplies.
  • Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and in-service training for personnel.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with confidentiality.
  • Be prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
  • Cooperate and maintain good rapport with coworkers to ensure proper patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Provide accurate information to key customers.
  • Stay timely with all program requirements.
  • Check Outlook email daily.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid ARRT-(R) certification.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills using AIDET/4 A's.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and computer information systems.
  • Meet and support the workflow demands of a fast-paced, customer-focused service environment in a clinic setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and have respectful behavior while working with coworkers.
  • Communicate professionally with other medical facilities, patients, and customers.
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and good organization skills.
