Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Levine Children's Hospital is in search of a Pediatric Advanced Care Practitioner to become an integral part of our Cellular Therapies (CT) and Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) APP team. This position involves collaborating within a multidisciplinary framework to deliver comprehensive care to children and young adults who are undergoing or have completed a bone marrow or stem cell transplant, as well as those receiving immune effector cell therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee patient management under the guidance of the supervising physician in a dynamic pediatric stem cell transplant environment.
  • Facilitate family-centered multidisciplinary rounds, provide bedside care, and manage patient admissions and discharges to the inpatient BMT unit.
  • Ensure seamless continuity of care for patients and families within the outpatient BMT clinic.
  • Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy and bone marrow aspirates and biopsies.
  • Provide coverage in the infusion suite on a rotating schedule.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee activities.
  • Adhere to evidence-based practices, standard operating procedures, and FACT requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team of 4 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers.
  • Work schedule consists of 40-hour weeks with rotations in 3-week blocks between inpatient and outpatient settings, including 13-hour shifts inpatient and 9-hour shifts outpatient, with weekend and holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred.
  • Experience in Bone Marrow Transplant or Hematology Oncology is highly desirable.
  • Open positions for Physician Assistants and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (must possess acute care certification).
