About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and provide individualized care for patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills to ensure quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct age-specific admission and ongoing assessments to develop a plan of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
- Administer treatments and medications accurately and document using automated computer systems.
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing or an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical records (EPIC).
- Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.
