About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead our Final Mile Fleet in San Antonio, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing dedicated drivers and achieving specific goals related to delivery performance, revenue maximization, driver productivity, and safety records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery Optimization: Utilize coaching and leadership skills to optimize routes, maximize productivity, and ensure on-time delivery expectations.
  2. Load Dispatching: Dispatch loads to drivers, providing them with necessary information, delivery requirements, and routing.
  3. Driver Support: Communicate with drivers and customers effectively to resolve any delivery issues that may arise during the day.
  4. Safety Focus: Promote a culture of safety throughout all areas of operations, including dispatching loads in accordance with driver hours of availability.
  5. Driver Retention: Focus on retaining drivers by understanding their needs, monitoring their performance, and keeping them informed and motivated.
  6. Performance Management: Identify, track, and resolve performance issues through regular driver evaluations and meetings.
  7. Administrative Tasks: Responsible for maintaining and submitting driver payroll records weekly, ensuring awareness and enforcement of company policies, and tracking equipment maintenance requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation management
  • Proven track record of success in delivery performance, revenue growth, and driver retention
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
