Essential Duties

The Marketing and Communications team facilitates financial professional and associate-directed communications. This team provides guidance on public relations and creative marketing initiatives while developing marketing collateral for the firm and its financial professionals. The team leads the firm's initiatives in social media, internal website design, communication strategy, and both national and local advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Gain a comprehensive and compelling look into digital marketing, public relations, and creative marketing from a leading financial services company
  • Support the development of email marketing campaigns
  • Provide website data analytics and visuals using Adobe Analytics and Tableau to help target marketing efforts
  • Conduct search engine optimization audit, competitor analysis, and customer persona testing environment to evaluate and optimize Cambridge's current digital marketing efforts
  • Work with the marketing automation team to setup email nurturing and lead generation campaigns
  • Support the assessment and reporting of marketing data related to digital traffic stats ranging from websites and email campaigns to social media
  • Work with marketing leadership and provide suggestions of specific segments of our audience of independent financial professionals located across the country
  • Collaborate with various cross-departmental stakeholders on special projects as the Marketing and Communications team supports various strategic projects across the firm
Requirements

Students studying data analytics, marketing, business administration, communications, economics, or similar majors will likely be the most successful in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Paid time off: Interns receive 16 hours of paid time off to use throughout the summer
  • Volunteer time: Interns receive eight hours of paid time off to volunteer throughout the summer
  • Holiday pay: Memorial Day and Independence Day
  • Educational courses: Interns participate in educational training hosted by our Associate Training and Development team. Courses consist of career workshops, problem solving, professional development and financial services industry basics.
  • Networking events: Interns have the opportunity to network with our company executives during the Welcome and End of Summer Banquets. Interns will participate in leadership panels to hear from company leaders, ask questions and gain valuable insight as well as have the chance to job shadow in other teams at Cambridge. Following the summer internship, interns have access to the Next Step Intern Alumni LinkedIn group to stay in touch with Cambridge and other past interns.
  • Opportunity to discuss continued employment with Cambridge on a part-time or full-time basis following the internship.
