- May consider training for specialty areas if no qualified candidates are available, with the expectation of obtaining necessary certifications.

Basic Qualifications:Experience:
One year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a relevant training program within the last year. Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and completion of required clinical hours; or graduation from a licensed vocational nursing program with relevant experience.
- Current enrollment in an accredited entry-level MSN program with completed pre-licensure requirements.
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
- Demonstrated understanding of the RN scope of practice.
- Commitment to service orientation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Compliance with position specifications as outlined in relevant agreements.
- Current ACLS certification may be necessary in certain units.
- Completion of required competencies within specified timeframes may be expected.
- Completion of AWHONN Labor & Delivery course is preferred.
