APM Terminals is seeking a highly skilled Terminal Operations Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the maintenance of Quay Cranes, RTG's and Spreaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage AM contractors and union labor in all areas of maintenance operations.
- Ensure that all critical preventative and corrective maintenance is being planned and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise and direct labor in the maintaining of a safe and clean working environment through the adherence to OSHA, hazardous, safety procedures and perform frequent inspections of all equipment.
- Exhibit pride in the APMT values-oriented culture and strive to inspire others to respect and maintain our high standard of customer excellence.
- Responsible for ensuring that the terminal operation is supplied with properly maintained equipment through direct interaction and communication of fellow team members in other functional areas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university in related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Five (5) years terminal operations, Data analysis, Asset management.
- Electrical engineering experience strongly preferred.
- Strong managerial, supervisory, team building, motivating and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting goals, resource conflicts, and make correct real-time decisions.
