Alstom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Designated Supervisor of Locomotive Engineers to join our team. As a key member of our railway operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of locomotives and trains in specific areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and conductors
- Oversee operation in compliance with rules and regulations
- Ensure adherence to train orders, bulletins, wayside signals, railroad operating rules, and special instructions
- Develop, train, and implement Title 49, CFR, Part 240/242 Plans
- Coordinate with Safety, Training, and Compliance Managers to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Locomotive Engineer Certification
- Completed an approved GCOR Training Program in the last 3 years
- 2 years of experience as a supervisor for an FRA regulated railroad
- 7 years' experience as a railroad engineer for an FRA regulated railroad
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Work prolonged periods on your feet in the shop environment or outdoors
- Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Competitive salary range: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 depending on experience/qualifications
