Position Title: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Hybrid


Your Contribution:


As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, you will leverage your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure that loan processes adhere to the established guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards of the Credit Union. Your role will involve validating that loan documentation aligns with underwriting criteria and internal systems, while identifying and addressing any inconsistencies or exceptions. Furthermore, you will provide mentorship to team members and act as a backup for reporting functions.


Key Responsibilities:


Audit Execution:

  • Conduct thorough audits of consumer loans to confirm compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, while identifying any systemic issues in processing.
  • Verify adherence to underwriting guidelines and report any discrepancies or exceptions.
  • Ensure completeness and compliance of all loan packages to minimize potential losses for the Credit Union.

Report Preparation:

  • Document findings to enhance efficiency in audit evaluations.
  • Maintain quality assurance and exception reports to support departmental objectives.
  • Keep audit checklists updated.
  • Track resolution of errors to mitigate member impact and reduce losses.
  • Monitor reporting trends and communicate insights for continuous improvement.

Staff Training and Leadership:

  • Provide training to the team on reviewing various consumer lending products.
  • Identify training needs and offer quality coaching to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary contact for inquiries related to Consumer Lending.
  • Maintain documentation and procedures related to quality control reviews.
  • Recommend process improvements to ensure robust controls are in place to reduce risks of errors and oversights.
  • Identify opportunities for risk mitigation concerning regulations, policies, and internal controls.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all consumer lending operations, systems, procedures, and training materials.
  • Update and manage lending policies and procedures through various internal communication channels.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of three years in Consumer/Mortgage lending.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year related college degree is preferred.
