Position Overview:
The Senior Finance Specialist will act as the primary liaison for the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) process, ensuring that all aspects of the PTP operations are conducted seamlessly in collaboration with the Service Center teams. This role is integral in supporting the Senior Accounting Manager and the Associate Director of Finance, working closely with both Procurement and PTP Service Center teams to pinpoint weaknesses in internal controls related to vendor data management, corporate card programs, client fund disbursements, and vendor payments, while also identifying discrepancies in accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on daily and month-end accounts payable processes and reconciliations.
  • Play a crucial role in the ongoing transition of PTP transactional responsibilities from In-Market teams to Service Centers, which includes identifying relevant tasks, developing standard operating procedures, providing training materials, and overseeing transitioned duties.
  • In partnership with the Tampa Service Center, oversee US Accounts Payable functions such as vendor data management, expense reporting, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with the US Corporate Card Program, maintaining high standards of adherence to policies, including expense reimbursements and escalation procedures for non-compliance.
  • Review and propose enhancements to P2P processes in collaboration with the P2P Global Process Owner.
  • Assist in establishing guidelines and implementing internal controls for accounts payable activities.
  • Support the timely filing of annual tax forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions.
  • Collaborate with Service Center staff and In-Market accountants in daily accounting tasks, month-end closing, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of assigned balance sheet reconciliations, documenting account purposes and transaction types.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the Corporate Card clearing account and other accounts payable accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Act as the accounting contact for assigned Functional Area Leads.
  • Conduct regular meetings to address significant concerns regarding expense reports.
  • Respond to accounting inquiries and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Assist management with the preparation of financial reports, documentation of standard operating procedures, and annual budgets.
  • Support the global tax team with US tax and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to firm-wide accounting initiatives and special projects.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Achieve proficiency within three months of appointment, demonstrating competence through measurable standards.
  • Deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • Extensive experience in accounting.
  • Ability to influence and consult with senior leaders on finance processes and compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Expertise in operational efficiency and financial accounting.
  • Excellent management and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proven capacity to assess risk and take appropriate actions.
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures and service level agreements.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams globally.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, or similar ERP software.
