Position Overview:
We are looking for a part-time Examination Supervisor to join our team, working approximately 15 hours weekly. This role involves overseeing and administering various examinations, including licensure, certification, and course placement assessments. The schedule will include evening hours and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external testing organizations to establish and manage testing schedules and availability.
- Assist students with scheduling inquiries and notify faculty regarding testing arrangements.
- Communicate with students to confirm testing appointments and provide essential instructions.
- Verify tester identities through identification checks and biometric technology, ensuring secure access to exams.
- Maintain and upgrade administrative and testing equipment, ensuring all systems are operational.
- Supervise all forms of testing, including approved accommodations, Ability to Benefit assessments, and various standardized tests.
- Explain testing procedures to students and clarify the objectives of placement assessments.
- Utilize assistive technology tools to support diverse testing needs.
- Generate and distribute test results, guiding students on subsequent steps.
- Scan and archive completed tests and related documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from faculty, students, and other stakeholders.
- Understand the functions of various campus offices to facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Ensure a secure and conducive testing environment by monitoring participants and managing materials.
- Track attendance and maintain accurate records of testing services.
- Safeguard the integrity of all testing materials.
- Strive to create a positive experience for all testers.
- Engage in annual training sessions to maintain certification for proctoring.
- Report any technical issues to the appropriate support channels.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development workshops.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in computer operations and capable of troubleshooting technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various digital platforms.
- Ability to work autonomously in a focused environment, mastering detailed procedures while managing multiple tasks.
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Flexible scheduling and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in administering standardized assessments such as CLEP and Pearson VUE.
- Previous experience in a community college setting.
Additional Information:
This position is part-time and temporary, requiring in-person attendance with flexible hours.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role is $27.86.
