Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our OB/GYN department in Poughkeepsie, NY. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and escort them to clinical areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including telephone call-backs, patient counseling, and education.
  • Assist with patient check-in, obtaining and documenting vital signs, history, and ordered tests.
  • Prepare patient and exam rooms, and assist with procedures and treatments as needed.
  • Label and handle laboratory specimens, and prepare requisitions for further testing.
  • Document all activities, patient responses, tests, and treatments in the medical record.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience as an LPN.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Phlebotomy and EKG experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires medium to heavy physical effort, with the ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force. The working environment is generally pleasant, with little to no potential for occupational risk.
