About the Role:
The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a vital role in assisting healthcare providers with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This includes performing both invasive and non-invasive tests to evaluate heart and lung health. The technologist will operate diagnostic equipment and support various medical procedures while ensuring accurate documentation of results.
Key Responsibilities:- Support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Utilize specialized equipment for cardiovascular assessments and modify technical parameters as necessary.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs throughout procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control procedures diligently.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of cardiovascular equipment.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media during imaging procedures.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain organized records.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the department.
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year of catheterization experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:- ARRT-R certification is required.
- State licensure for Radiologic Technologists is necessary.
- Current Fluoroscopy license is mandatory.
- CPR or BLS certification is required.
