Job Summary:

A Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for aiding physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. This involves conducting invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, operating x-ray and physiological equipment, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders.
  • Operate x-ray and physiological equipment to capture images and data.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and provide support during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and records test results.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
  • One year's catheterization experience preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R) certification required.
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice required.
  • Current Fluoroscopy license required in CA.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
