Role SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Marina Safety Officer to uphold the security and well-being of our guests, staff, and facilities. This role necessitates regular patrols and meticulous documentation of activities during shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service abilities while ensuring adherence to safety and property regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the safety and security of marina tenants, their guests, fellow team members, and property.
- Implement policies and procedures as instructed by management.
- Accurately document shift activities without bias.
- Comply with all safety and security protocols.
- Follow the guidelines outlined in the Havasu Riviera Marina Employee Handbook.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, ensuring a superior experience.
- Efficiently manage time and complete assigned tasks as directed by management.
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics.
- Conduct safety and security patrols of the premises as required.
- Report any unusual occurrences to management promptly, including emergencies, criminal activities, and law enforcement presence.
- Address tenant and guest concerns, incidents, accidents, and emergencies effectively.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Incident/Accident Reports, and Safety/Hazard Notification Reports.
- De-escalate confrontations calmly and safely, making sound decisions in emergencies to ensure the safety of all parties involved.
- Perform janitorial and maintenance tasks as assigned, including restroom cleaning, trash disposal, and dock maintenance.
- Assist guests with transportation to their vehicles, enhancing their overall experience.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company information and incidents occurring on the property.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years old; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially in emergencies.
- Capable of interpreting, writing, and executing written orders, policies, and procedures.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with all departments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the property.
- Capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to assist boaters with docking, fueling, and trailering.
- Positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and proactive approach.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required, with training provided by the marina.
- Adherence to federal and state working hours, including sick pay and vacation allowances.
- Overnight shifts required.
- Availability to work on holidays and weekends.
- Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
