Your Role
The Engineering Team Lead is a pivotal management position responsible for overseeing technical engineering and guiding the design team for assigned projects. This role encompasses:

  • Providing financial oversight and resource allocation for engineering projects.
  • Mentoring and training team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers regarding project deliverables and resource needs.
  • Leading the engineering efforts and collaborating with project management.
  • Resolving complex engineering challenges and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Team Lead, you will:

  • Analyze project requirements and develop appropriate design fees.
  • Prepare and manage work plans for engineering resources.
  • Supervise engineers and designers assigned to projects.
  • Attend design meetings and conduct site visits to assess installation conditions.
  • Perform value engineering studies and act as the Engineer of Record for your projects.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States.
  • Field experience is highly recommended.

  • Strong leadership capabilities to guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering processes, calculations, and applicable codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management software.

Working Conditions
This position may require travel up to 25% and involves working in a general office environment with occasional site visits. You may be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
