Job SummaryThe Maintenance Building and Grounds Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all agency properties. This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure the buildings and grounds are safe and well-maintained. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all agency properties, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained.
- Directly supervise maintenance staff and evaluate their performance.
- Provide timely feedback to supervisees and ensure they comply with agency training requirements and paperwork.
- Assist programs with obtaining quotes for projects and repairs.
- Maintain a building and grounds ticket system and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
- Prioritize schedules and manage time effectively in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Ensure general maintenance is completed in a timely manner, including light carpentry, plumbing, and snow removal.
- Participate in the agency safety committee and use power and manual tools responsibly.
- Understanding of cultural family differences and values, with the ability to remain non-judgmental.
- Knowledge of HIPPA privacy laws and ability to adhere to them.
- General knowledge of building maintenance.
- Ability to drive agency vehicles, including a snowplow-equipped pickup truck.
- Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Self-motivation and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
