POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Note:

All official drafts, documents, and recommendations must be reviewed, finalized, and approved by the appropriate management personnel.

Conduct electrical clearance assessments to support the design of transmission lines, vegetation management, and estimation processes.


Evaluate and interpret the outcomes of electrical clearance assessments, span evaluations, stress/strain analyses, and vegetation management tools to compile comprehensive reports for review by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).


Examine and assess engineering design documents, schematics, specifications, structure/tower inventories, one-line diagrams, and sag instructions/stringing charts, rectify discrepancies, and update documentation as necessary.


Execute engineering calculations and analyses related to thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, stress analysis, and AC/DC electrical circuits, utilizing this information to prepare reports for SME review.

Process survey information and integrate it into the relational database.


Offer technical insights and support in the creation and recommendation of automated engineering tools using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to facilitate engineering analyses and data processing.


REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience (required on matrix)

A bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering is mandatory.

6 months of experience in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering design or analysis is essential.

Participation in college or charitable engineering projects may be considered as part of the required experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience (optional on matrix)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, is highly regarded.

Experience with VBA is advantageous.


Prior engineering experience within an electric transmission utility, particularly using PLS-CADD for transmission line analysis or design, is preferred for this role.
