We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CRNA to lead our anesthesia team in Oshkosh/FDL. As a CRNA Lead, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding advanced practice clinicians, participating in recruitment and hiring, and developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and guide advanced practice clinicians in their clinical practice and professional development
- Participate in recruitment and hiring of employees, staff development, and resolution of employee concerns
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with professional and ancillary staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Act as liaison for communication between ancillary departments and participate in meetings/updates with Coding and Billing, Compliance, Pharmacy, and other specialties
- Assist in program development by participating in practice goal setting, new program/service development/deployment, resource allocation, and community outreach
- Coordinate education for APCs related to specialty practice changes and updates
- Provide clinical guidance to advanced practice clinicians regarding patient care and follow through to ensure patient receives recommended care
- Responsible for narcotic accounting and distribution
- Provide anesthesia services, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care to patients
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
- Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in providing and coordinating care for patients with acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions as a nurse anesthetist or in a leadership capacity
- Must have functional vision and hearing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. over the head
- Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
- Must be able to perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
