Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients and processing them for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and Quest Diagnostics facilities.
  • Process specimens for laboratory testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting.
  • Administer oral solutions to patients as needed.
  • Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders.
  • Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
