Job Title: Corporate Financial Analyst

Location: Chantilly, VA

Position Overview:

The Corporate Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Tenica Global Solutions. This role includes the preparation of regular financial reports, maintaining a robust accounting records system, and implementing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets aimed at minimizing risks and enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial reporting for various contract types, including CPAFLOE, FFPLOE, and T&M multi-million dollar contracts for government clients.
  • Provide financial analysis to project managers and task leads to support subcontract management.
  • Identify and resolve financial issues related to contracts and assist in risk mitigation strategies.
  • Plan, monitor, and reconcile monthly expenditures while ensuring accurate time charging and billing through Excel and the Project Cost Reporting (PCR) System.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Contract Funding Status Reports (CFSRs), to government clients to assess expenditure rates and estimate funding run-out dates.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting, quarterly execution reviews, and the re-baselining of CLINs/Contract Periods, as well as contract close-out processes.
  • Support new bids and re-compete proposals by providing relevant contract history.
  • Monitor, approve, and track subcontractor accruals, and reconcile invoicing and payments using the Subcontractor Cost Management System (SCMS) and Pay Online (POL).

Financial Transactions:
  • Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
  • Oversee payroll processing.
  • Complete periodic bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and an organized accounting filing system.
  • Establish a system of controls over accounting transactions.

Financial Reporting:
  • Issue timely and comprehensive financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operational metrics.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Analyze variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Provide management cost reports and financial analyses as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Compliance:
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, along with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division of a large corporation. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Excel is highly preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations. A security clearance is desirable.


Working Environment:

This position is primarily office-based.
