Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and condition assessments to determine the most effective repair solutions for damaged and poorly performing structural systems.
  • Research the history of buildings and identify any relevant code upgrades that should be applied.
  • Develop and implement design assignments related to upgrades, maintenance, and restoration of existing buildings.
  • Manage multiple projects and teams, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within the established budget and schedule.
  • Prepare technical condition reports, repair designs, bid documents, and other construction documentation as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating effectively and providing regular updates on project progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required.
  • Florida certified Special Inspector of Threshold Buildings or Special Inspector of Threshold Buildings Limited designation.
  • 4+ years of structural design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) proficiency.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel in and out of state on assignments (approximately 20%).
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to develop and commit to budgets, scopes, and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
Physical Demands

The Senior Structural Consultant will be required to work in a variety of settings, including office environments and outdoor locations. The physical demands of the role include standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
