Job Overview

Skylimit Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design projects and manage project timelines. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, circuit designs, and hardware specifications for aerospace applications.
  • Utilize simulation tools and design software to optimize designs and ensure reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
  • Oversee multiple projects from concept through to production, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve technical issues that arise during development and implementation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of components and materials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding electrical system design and performance.
  • Gather and analyze customer requirements to ensure designs meet or exceed expectations.
  • Provide technical presentations and updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including design reports, test plans, and validation records.
  • Ensure all designs and processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and audits to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on aerospace applications.
  • Proven experience in designing electrical systems and managing projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools and software such as MATLAB, SPICE, and Altium Designer.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovate.
