Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Specialist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. This is a full-time staff position, working day shift with variable schedules depending on department needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs mammography radiographic exams on patients, explaining the procedure and ensuring technical quality of images
  • Enters and monitors patient data, identifying and reporting any accidents or equipment malfunctions
  • Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment and assists with accreditation applications
  • Takes emergency calls within the department and ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and approved program of mammography technology
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support and current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)
