Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas.
This role plays a vital part in providing high-quality patient care by performing mammography radiographic procedures. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will work closely with physicians to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and treat patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Performing Mammography Procedures: You will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients for the exam, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of images.
- Entering and Monitoring Patient Data: Accurately enter and monitor patient information to ensure seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
- Quality Assurance and Maintenance: Perform routine quality assurance checks on mammography equipment and assist with accreditation processes as needed.
- Patient Safety and Satisfaction: Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to Memorial Hermann's policies, procedures, and standards.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an approved program of mammography technology.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support; Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT); Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); and Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
- Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
