The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the thrift store at standard operating level and completing all daily duties and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandise Management: Ensure all shelves and clothing racks are full and organized to promote sales.
- Inventory Control: Assist management team in investigating and pricing items to be sold, as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being polite, prompt, and courteous, and in line with the mission of The Salvation Army.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean environment throughout the store, including shelves, counters, and tables.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including wrapping and bagging merchandise for customers.
- Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience: Retail and/or cash register experience preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, basic computer skills, and strong independent judgment.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a retail setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
