As a CFP Associate, you can expect to:
- Participate in a rotational track that aligns with your interests and skills
- Work closely with senior leaders, managers, and mentors to develop your skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the goals and objectives of each department to which you are assigned
- Assume leadership roles for certain projects and initiatives
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Smithfield Foods' business operations and functional areas
To be eligible for the CFP program, you must:
- Be a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university
- Be able to relocate one to two times during the rotation
- Have a high level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to self-manage your time from remote locations
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Be able to travel up to 15-25% of the time
- Have a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Be able to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
The work environment and physical demands of this role include:
- Office, facility, and laboratory environments
- Lifting, stretching, bending, reaching, walking, climbing, and travel by car and aircraft
- Wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals
- Noise levels can be moderate to loud
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Frequent sitting, using hands to handle or feel, and talking or hearing
