Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at The Kahala Hotel and Resort. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate room assignments and group movements, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule front office staff, completing payroll and performing disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Accounting, and other departments to implement new packages and promotions.
  • Assist with guest check-in, escort, and check-out processes, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Conduct daily briefings and address immediate guest service issues, maintaining a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Ensure SOP manuals are up-to-date, maintained, and effectively utilized by front office staff.
  • Coordinate teamwork with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required; College degree in hotel management or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum one to two years of supervisory experience; previous experience in a first-class, medium to large resort desired.
  • Three years of experience in front office operations desired; Opera PMS, Hotsos, Alice, Yellow Dog experience preferred.
  • CPR and Standard First Aid Certification preferred; current Manager Liquor card required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel throughout the resort while performing essential job functions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently work both indoors and outdoors.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with the hotel's attendance policy.
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department.
  • Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
  • Respond to guest questions and provide assistance, direction, and information as requested.
