The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in design engineering, mechanical engineering, product design, or industrial design, and 3-4 years of work experience as a design engineer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving or exceeding budgeted levels of sales and profits
  • Working with Production, Sales, and Customers to develop and maintain a list of product improvements
  • Documenting design additions and changes in Creo database and Abas Bill of Materials
  • Providing technical and installation support to dealers and customers
  • Developing manual and instructional material to facilitate customer use of Lake Groomer Products
  • Designing Engineering Roll Form Machines
  • Collaborating with the Lead Engineer, production team, service, and sales personnel to provide design work and Bill of Material support
  • Developing and implementing testing procedures as needed
  • Initiating processes for production and assembly to improve efficiency
  • Participating in design and production improvements to enhance customer value and reduce costs
  • Creating and maintaining Project records
  • Reporting status of all projects in regular meetings and as requested
  • Tracking time spent on specific projects, particularly that time which can be claimed as R&D expense
  • Designing as needed for other affiliated companies
  • Working with customers as needed for sales, service, etc.
