As a Civil Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting department projects and engaging with our clients to provide innovative design solutions./ppbKey Responsibilities/b/pulliApply current engineering techniques and procedures to complete engineering tasks and support other design workflows./liliDevelop plans, specifications, and observation reports that meet standard engineering practices./liliRecommend alterations to development criteria and design features to improve quality./liliWork closely with engineering technicians and design engineers./liliPlan and accomplish project goals using experience and judgment./liliResolve design challenges through field investigation or observations and resolve discrepancies between multiple sources of information./liliCheck design computations performed by internal civil design teams./liliPrepare reports and correspondence concerning project direction./liliReview plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk management considerations./liliMaintain a value engineering mindset throughout development, design, and construction./liliWork closely with business and engineering staff across multiple markets and technical disciplines./liliSupport marketing, sales, and business development activities within assigned markets./liliDemonstrate out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and design ownership./li/ulpbRequirements/b/pulliB.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent./liliCivil Professional Engineer (PE) registration required, NCEES Council Record preferred./liliMinimum 5 years of engineering experience performing civil design and development of infrastructure-related projects in a fast-paced consulting environment./liliProficient in large-scale grading and drainage design, additions to existing civil designs, and earthwork calculations./liliFamiliarity with erosion and sediment control applications in arid environments and cost-effective non-vegetative stabilization techniques./liliDemonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or MicroStation and Open Roads./liliProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)./liliAuthorization to work permanently in the US./li/ulpbAbout Ulteig/b/ppUlteig is a purpose-driven organization that has built a culture focused on people - both our clients and our employees - for over 80 years.
