About the Role

The University of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled Post-Award Senior Grant Specialist to join our Opt-In Services team. As a key member of our Sponsored Program Services (SPS) team, you will provide expert support to faculty members and their research portfolios, ensuring seamless management of grant activities and financial matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial management and oversight of faculty members' sponsored research funding
  • Assist with the development of research compliance education programs
  • Mentor team members in identifying and remediating deviations from established account management expectations
  • Review and identify additional items outside of normal responsibilities to discover and warn department leadership of any issues or corrective actions needed
  • Independently handle a complex and diverse portfolio and participate in training and outreach activities for the SPS Team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of sponsored research administration, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a keen eye for detail and be able to analyze complex financial data.
