About the Role:

The State of Iowa is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Security Specialist to join our team at the Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders (CCUSO). As a key member of our team, you will provide direct-care services of both a security and treatment nature, creating a maximally therapeutic environment for the care and treatment of individuals with mental abnormalities and/or personality disorders who were convicted of a sex offense.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise various patient activities at the CCUSO facility
  • Facilitate psycho-educational group activities
  • Document patient behaviors
  • Operate the master control center
  • Supervise patients on medical trips outside of the facility
