Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Field Property Claims Specialist to effectively manage and evaluate property damage claims. This role focuses on assessing claims from insured clients across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.

Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 annually based on experience, in addition to a company vehicle, cell phone, and computer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate property damage resulting from incidents such as fires, floods, and storms. Collect comprehensive information and document the damage thoroughly.
  • Review insurance policies, analyze claim submissions, and investigate the circumstances of losses to ascertain coverage and liability. Evaluate the extent of damage and determine appropriate settlement amounts.
  • Compile detailed reports that include findings, photographs, measurements, and estimated repair costs. Maintain precise records of all communications and relevant documentation throughout the claims process.
  • Engage with policyholders and claimants in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on the claims process and settlement options.
  • Negotiate with policyholders, contractors, and third-party claimants to achieve fair settlement agreements, clearly explaining the settlement offers and applicable coverage limitations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including underwriting and legal, to ensure accurate claims assessments and adherence to company policies.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to property insurance claims, ensuring compliance with all guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as insurance, risk management, or construction, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Property Adjuster, ideally in a field-based capacity. Familiarity with property insurance policies and claim investigation methods is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and building materials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess property damage and negotiate settlements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for policyholders throughout the claims process.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple claims and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with cause and origin experts.
  • Familiarity with recovery processes, including subrogation and salvage.
  • Experience in multi-line claims adjusting.
  • HAAG Certification.
