Gpac is working with a family-owned company in the Agriculture and Manufacturing industry, seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to perform critical freezer repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ammonia system operations and controls.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete Emergency Response Training and annual physical.
  • Perform freezer repairs, including replacing or repairing ammonia pumps, compressors, boilers, and control valves, under supervision.
  • Ensure all safety guards are in place before operating.
  • Report any product quality concerns to management, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel immediately.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials.
  • Desire and ability to advance to higher levels of Refrigeration responsibilities with training and education.
  • Adhere to common safety practices and rules, including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
  • Adhere to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
  • Keep all areas clean and orderly at all times.
  • Responsible for following food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of Refrigeration (NH3) ammonia system operations and controls.

What We Offer

The company offers a competitive hourly rate of $21-35/hr. DOE, full health benefits, 401K, paid life insurance, pension plan, bonuses, and paid vacation. The company will also help relocate the right individual.
