Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new product lines, processes, and technologies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize development projects, aligning them with market trends and business strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Leverage industry expertise to stay up-to-date with the latest technical literature and IP, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to represent Imerys and engage with key stakeholders, up to 10% of the time.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical expertise in materials science, with a strong understanding of polymer properties and behavior.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with additive functionalization and interfacial chemistry, with a strong understanding of material properties and their impact on polymer performance.

Education and Experience:

  • PhD in chemical/plastics/material science, with 5+ years of industrial experience in polymers/material science.
  • Strong track record of delivering results and leading cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and innovation.
  • Application experience in transportation, packaging, construction, and electronics is highly desirable.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
