Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity.
- Perform diagnostic tests to determine the necessity and effectiveness of respiratory therapies.
- Administer various respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy and aerosol medication delivery.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and intervene as necessary to ensure optimal care.
- Provide support during emergency situations, maintaining airway security and effective ventilation.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or equivalent licensure.
- Associate Degree or relevant certification in respiratory therapy.
