Raw Bar/Sushi Chef

A skilled Raw Bar/Sushi Chef is required to join our team at Level 8 LLC. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality seafood dishes, particularly those that are raw or partially cooked.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare seafood ingredients to the highest standard, ensuring they are fresh and ready for cooking.
- Manage the raw bar station, maintaining a clean and well-organized environment.
- Follow recipes and prepare dishes according to the menu, showcasing exceptional culinary skills.
- Slice and prepare other raw seafood ingredients, demonstrating attention to detail and precision.
- Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with seafood ingredients and supplies, maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.
- Stay knowledgeable about all seafood ingredients used in dishes, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Portray a positive and professional attitude and appearance, reflecting the company's values and standards.
- Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, as outlined in the company handbook.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and efficient kitchen operation.
- Possess conversational knowledge of food and beverage items served at the establishment, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in training sessions, departmental meetings, or pre-shift meetings, staying up-to-date with company developments and best practices.
- Ensure the well-being of all guests and co-workers by following Company Safety Standards and maintaining compliance with the Department of Health and OSHAA.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise and proficiency.
- High school degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in culinary arts and sciences.
- Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, ensuring seamless collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time management ability, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to work overtime as required.
Food Handling Safety certification is required, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and quality.
Work EnvironmentThe role requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods, with a maximum weight lift of 50 pounds. The work environment may involve repetitive motion, exposure to hot kitchen elements, and cleaning materials. A flexible and adaptable individual is required to thrive in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
