Job Summary

This is a PRN (relief) nursing position that provides coverage for various departments during critical peak times. The successful candidate will assist in the instruction of PVM students, interns, residents, faculty, and staff in performing diagnostic procedures, therapeutic treatments, client communication, service coordination, and overseeing client-student interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide relief nursing services to various departments during peak times
  • Assist in the instruction of PVM students, interns, residents, faculty, and staff
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, therapeutic treatments, and client communication
  • Oversee client-student interactions and provide service coordination
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in veterinary/animal health technology
  • Two years of experience assisting in animal surgery, administering anesthesia to animals, and/or performing veterinary surgery
  • Registered as a Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Provisional Veterinary Technician (PVT) through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
  • Credentialed in the State of Colorado or other eligible state determined by CACVT
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in IV catheter placement, venipuncture, cystocentesis, teaching, computer skills, scheduling appointments, and answering questions
