Job Summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Vehicle Program Management team. This role will be responsible for leading the Integrated Product Team aligned with aircraft systems in all programmatic aspects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of the program plan for the system(s) per the requirements of Joby Product Development Processes
  • Development and maintenance of project timeline towards aircraft type certification and manufacturing introduction
  • Direct support to Integrated Product Team (IPT) technical lead in working through and solving technical challenges and risks
  • Coordination with suppliers and interfacing with legal, shipping, quality, and other Joby support organizations
  • Collaboration with program teams to define scope of work to development and update system schedules, resource information, and identification of variances from the baseline records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in a new development engineering environment with responsibility for project coordination and management
  • Expertise in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, and JIRA
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to details
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with aircraft Type Certification in an engineering environment
  • Experience with FAA certification processes
  • Basic knowledge of 2X.1309 analyses and processes, including Advisory Circular E, SAE ARP 4761, and SAE ARP 4754A
