Position Overview:
As a Procurement Specialist at Spartronics, you will be integral to our supply chain operations, ensuring that we acquire materials that align with our corporate standards. Your role will focus on sourcing high-quality goods at competitive prices, contributing to our overarching goal of operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate procurement needs to ensure alignment with project requirements and company interests.
  • Manage purchase orders in accordance with MRP system requirements and oversee any necessary modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation and flow-down requirements associated with purchase orders.
  • Assist in expediting delayed shipments and resolving related issues.
  • Address supplier quality concerns and manage purchase order discrepancies.
  • Engage with suppliers to resolve issues that cannot be addressed on-site.
  • Determine material needs based on engineering and production timelines.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support cash flow objectives.
  • Exercise independent judgment in accordance with ethical purchasing practices.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
  • Present updates on commodities and projects to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends for assigned commodities to inform procurement strategies.
  • Develop tactical plans and prepare management reports on procurement activities.
  • Support the training and development of junior procurement staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance the procurement process.

Qualifications:
  • This position requires on-site attendance.
  • Must comply with ITAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing procurement is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of supply sources and market conditions is essential.
  • Understanding of operational principles such as JIT, MRP, and Lean methodologies is required.
  • Proven negotiation skills and successful outcomes in procurement activities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
  • A strong technical understanding of assigned commodities is necessary.
