Job Summary

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of significant alterations to existing Navy submarine systems. The successful candidate will work closely with NUWC engineers to establish standards, practices, and procedures for integrating, testing, and evaluating missile weapons systems onboard Navy Submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate system capabilities, architectures, design concepts, requirements, risks, and opportunities, and processes for integration, test, evaluation, and transition impacts.
  • Design, develop, and implement test and evaluation strategies, plans, and methods to assure reliability of systems in conjunction with system specifications and defined capabilities.
  • Develop and interpret requirements, drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications.
  • Interface with other members of project teams to define and implement engineering solutions to meet systems mission objectives.
  • Help resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of systems engineering experience, including knowledge in system development and analysis.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications

Submarine system or sub-system engineering and test experience is a plus.
