Overview:
The Security Manager plays a crucial role in advising personnel on government security mandates and ensuring that operational facilities meet essential physical security standards. This position involves providing insights on security implications related to new business initiatives and overseeing security operations at off-site locations, including responsibilities as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist personnel in completing security clearance documentation via the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system to ensure compliance and facilitate processing.
- Coordinate personnel security clearance requirements with the Defense Security Service.
- Manage additional security protocols, including Polygraphs, National Agency Checks, and Counterintelligence Screening.
- Oversee Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) personnel security clearance requirements in accordance with contract specifications.
- Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for automated systems handling classified data.
- Develop and maintain Automated Information System Security Plans (AISSP) and ensure adherence to government operational standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all cleared personnel.
- Process Visit Requests for classified interactions.
- Establish and manage the daily operations of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
- Respond as the primary contact for alarm activations within the facility.
- Ensure accountability for all classified documents entering or leaving the facility.
- Prepare Security ID badges as required by contractual obligations.
- Generate reports and notifications to relevant government agencies as mandated by regulations.
- Keep senior management informed of any security vulnerabilities or concerns.
- Collaborate with government agencies to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Supervise off-site facilities to guarantee adherence to security regulations.
- Manage corporate compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program.
- Oversee supporting staff and ensure effective coordination and evaluation of their performance.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in any field.
- Over 10 years of combined experience in government contracting and security-related roles.
- Top Secret clearance is mandatory, with eligibility for SCI access.
Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of NISPOM and SCI Administrative Security Manual.
- Familiarity with Automated Information System Processing for both collateral and SCI systems.
- Hands-on experience in managing secure facilities through the Defense Security Service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and SharePoint.
