Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Senior Accountant to enhance our dynamic Finance team. This role is tailored for individuals with a solid background in public accounting and internal auditing, ideally with experience in manufacturing or retail sectors. As an Audit Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial records, and providing expert guidance to senior management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute financial and operational audits in line with the annual audit strategy.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and propose enhancements.
  • Prepare and present audit findings to senior management, emphasizing risk areas and recommending practical solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors, supplying necessary information and addressing inquiries.
  • Stay informed on changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Engage in special projects as required, including due diligence, fraud investigations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior audit team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or retail environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all management levels.
  • High integrity and professionalism, committed to ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for audit assignments.
