We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammography exams utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during exams, adhering to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Operate and maintain mammographic and computer equipment, adhering to ACR and FDA/MQSA guidelines and policies.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
- Prepare examination rooms to provide a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Provide quality and compassionate patient care, utilizing age-specific standards to ensure patient cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
- Exhibit teamwork and professionalism while interacting with colleagues, supervisors, and physicians.
- Participate in ongoing learning activities to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge.
- Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry-level standards of routine mammography.
- RT (R,M) certification required, CT State License required, CPR certification preferred.
- Proficient in routine breast imaging and/or screening mammography procedures, above-average knowledge of computer/PACS applications, and good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and operate a motor vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 18,001 lbs. or more on an intrastate basis.
The selected candidate will be required to pass a company road test and provide a current and valid driver's license, as well as a Medical Examiner's Certificate issued by a practitioner on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry.
Applicant must update their documentation as required to maintain regulatory compliance. YNHHS will review a state-issued Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to determine acceptable driving history.
